Anne Hathaway
From E!:
Good thing Anne Hathaway cut her teeth thwarting bad guys in the upcoming Get Smart—she needs all the help she can get evading paparazzi on the set of her new flick with Kate Hudson.
Bride Wars, the girlie nuptial-fest she and Lance Armstrong's main squeeze are shooting in NYC, has been a mess of photogs, all angling for a shot at Kate's ring finger. Hathaway manages to catch some of the lenses in cross fire, she told E! News at a Los Angeles press conference for Get Smart, and she's just not used to it.
"There were, I kid you not, 50 paparazzi on the street," she said. "We had to call off the shot and find a different location, because they were in the way."

Zooey Deschanel
WHAT'S HAPPENING TO HER EYEBROWS?
Today the long-anticipated fright flick The Happening happens in theaters, along with the very beautiful, very charming Zooey Deschanel. You may remember Ms. Deschanel from such films as Tin Man, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy), The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and the hilarious Will Ferrell comedy Elf. In The Happening, she plays one half of a couple (Marky Mark being her husband—the lucky dog) on the run from a wide-scale epidemic that threatens the fate of humanity. However just before her departure, our own Joltin’ Joe McCabe caught up with Zooey for a one-on-one interview about movies, her budding music career and how Jim Carrey just can’t say no to her…

Liv Tyler
From Animation Magazine:
The Incredible Hulk smashes his way back into theaters this weekend with a reimagining of the popular Marvel Comics character that is more straightforward than Ang Lee's less-than-successful 2003 version. The Marvel Studios pic is being released by Paramount on 3,505 screens and anticipation is running high. Starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt and a CG-animated Hulk, and directed by Louis Leterrier from a script by Zak Penn, early reviews are that the pic is a wild ride. Most weekend estimates peg Hulk to come in at around $60 million—roughly on par with what the 2003 version did —though a few are wondering if it could be the next Iron Man and climb even higher.

She-Hulk
From The Guardian:
Among the many rumours floating around Iron Man before Marvel studio's firstborn fired its way into box office history was the suggestion that Hilary Swank might be making some sort of cameo. The word was that Ms Swank - who certainly has the requisite muscularity to play a superhero - would make an appearance, setting up a potential future solo film as She-Hulk or Black Widow. It was even apparently confirmed by producer Avi Arad.

Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba has given birth to a healthy baby girl on Saturday, according to her publicist.
Tori Spelling
The "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum and McDermott welcomed their second child - 6-pound, 8-ounce Stella Doreen McDermott - at a Los Angeles hospital Monday, her publicist, Meghan Prophet, said in an e-mail to The Associated Press. It's the second child for the 35-year-old actress and the third for McDermott, who has a son from a previous marriage. The couple, who wed in May 2006 and star in the Oxygen reality series "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood," have a 1-year-old son, Liam Aaron. The third season of their reality show premieres June 17.

Jewel
From The Winnipeg Sun:
With the exception of one album a few years ago, Jewel has always leaned musically more toward country than glossy, over-produced pop material.
So her new (and first) country album Perfectly Clear finally seems to be a perfect fit for the 34-year-old artist, even if Nashville industry folks weren't enthralled with the idea.
"A lot of them wanted me to be more pop, I was so surprised that that was the reaction I got," she says.
"They wanted me to be a bit more slick and produced and pop-driven country. I thought, 'I can't win for trying. I'm too country for pop and now they're telling me I'm too pop for country.' "
The album, out this week, follows an eventful few years for the performer. After 2006's Goodbye Alice In Wonderland, Jewel parted ways with Atlantic Records, eventually landing on the Nashville-based label The Valory Music Co. (Open Road Recordings in Canada)....more

Michelle Obama
From E!:
No more View from the cheap seats for Michelle Obama.
The potential next first lady of the United States is slated to appear June 18 as a guest host on The View.
No celebrity guests have been booked yet, but we're sure Barack Obama's Princeton and Harvard-educated missus will have no trouble being heard over the most vocal ladies in daytime.
Cindy McCain shared couch space with late-night host Craig Ferguson when she performed guest-hosting duties in April.
But although Mrs. McCain beat Mrs. Obama to the coffee klatch, both have the inside track on how to stir it up—their husbands, who right this second are focusing on going head-to-head in November, have been guests on the morning chatfest multiple times.
"We treat the wives differently than the candidates," executive producer Bill Geddie told the Associated Press, adding that they invited Obama on as a guest but that she requested the same role given to McCain. "We're tougher on the candidates than we are on the wives. We're trying to get to know them."
Cindy McCain
From The Slate:
Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, released his 2006-07 tax information in April, but Cindy Hensley McCain, his wife of 19 years and heiress to a lucrative beer-distributor fortune, did not. (The couple files its tax returns separately.) Cindy refused to make public her tax returns "in the interest of protecting the privacy of her children." Last week she relented a bit and the McCain campaign released a two-page 1040 form from her 2006 return (below and on the following page), showing that she paid $1.7 million in federal taxes. The candidate's wife requested and was granted an extension to complete her 2007 return.
Cindy's annual income for 2006 was more than $6 million, including $4.5 million from "rental real estate, royalties, partnerships, S corporations, [or] trusts" plus over $1 million in capital gains and dividends. Her Schedule B, D, and E forms would shed light on the latter but were not included in the disclosure. Clearly, though, Cindy would benefit from her husband's tax-cut plan, which includes lowering taxes on dividends and capital gains to "promote saving" and to "channel investment dollars to innovative, high-value uses."

Vice President Clinton
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton says she's not out, but with rival Sen. Barack Obama securing his long-held lead, many are asking what she plans to do next.
Both candidates will be in Washington on Wednesday, first when they each address the influential American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and later when they are both expected in the Senate for a budget vote.
Obama became his party's presumptive nominee Tuesday and will be looking to unite Democrats divided by the long and contentious primary season. Some say putting Clinton on the ticket might fit the bill, but the former first lady promised Tuesday only that she wouldn't make an immediate decision on her future.

Hillary Clinton
From CNN:
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman rejected a report that she will acknowledge that her rival, Sen. Barack Obama, will have enough delegates to capture the Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday night.
Sen. Hillary Clinton trails Obama by 159 delegates and is 201 delegates shy of capturing the nomination.
Media reports saying she was ready to concede was "100 per incorrect," he said.
Obama "doesn't have the numbers today, and until someone has the numbers the race goes on," McAuliffe told CNN, denying a report by The Associated Press that a concession was near.
Clinton continues to fight Obama in the Democratic primary season. Some 61 contests over five months will end Tuesday as Montana and South Dakota hold primaries.
Only 31 pledged delegates are at stake in those two contests.
Obama is just 42 delegates shy of the 2,118 now needed to clinch the nomination. There are not enough pledged delegates at stake in Montana and South Dakota to put Obama over the top, but a rush of endorsements by the remaining undeclared "superdelegates" could allow him to claim victory when he takes the stage in Minnesota Tuesday evening.
Superdelegates are the approximate 825 Democratic governors, members of Congress, and party officials who each get to vote in the delegate nominating process. Around 200 of them have yet to endorse either Obama or Clinton.
....moreGina Gerson
It's Todd Purdum's turn to deal Bill Clinton a low blow, quoting Hollywood sources according to whom Clinton had an affair with Gina Gershon not so long ago.
"Recent high-end Hollywood dinner-party gossip that Clinton has been seen visiting with the actress Gina Gershon in California." Todd Purdum says in his article on Bill Clinton appearing in the July issue of Vanity Fair.
It certainly isn't a secret Mr. Clinton always had a problem keeping his Johnson away from ... err ... distractions, however the vast majority thought that Monica Lewinsky had dealt him a lesson tough enough to keep him out of trouble.
The writer of the article containing new allegations about Clinton's extramarital affairs with high-profile women is Todd S. Purdum, husband to former Clinton press secretary DeeDee Myers.
Bill Clinton's office promptly reacted at those charges, calling it "a tawdry, anonymous quote-filled attack piece" and "journalism of personal destruction at its worst." Kind of sounds like the "we had no sex" claims made years ago, uh?
46-year-old Gina Gerson has had quite a busy love life; she is known to have dated hotel owner Sean McPherson, Jay Penske, John Cusack and Owen Wilson.

Sect And The City (with no eyebrows)
SAN ANGELO, Texas (CNN) -- Texas authorities say they collected DNA swabs from jailed polygamist sect leader Warren Jeffs in connection with a criminal investigation involving "spiritual marriages" to four girls ages 12 to 15.
The samples were taken Thursday in Arizona from Jeffs, the sect's jailed 52-year-old "prophet," said Jerry Strickland, spokesman for the Texas attorney general's office.
Jeffs is leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The criminal investigation moved to the forefront Friday as a Texas judge refused to sign an order returning to their homes more than 300 children seized last month from the polygamist sect's ranch. Judge Barbara Walther said she wanted all the mothers involved to sign the order first.
